CA Workload Automation AE - Scheduler (AutoSys) Autosys Workload Automation

Issue/Introduction

We have lost all the historical run for all the jobs due to miss configured DBMaint script.
Is there a way to restore the old job run information?

Environment

Release : 11.3.6

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

Unfortunately, there is no supported reloading procedure/command/script to restore purged data from the AutoSys database back in.

If you were thinking about trying to script something to generate inserts to pump them back in you would face some hurdles.
For one, not all fields are archived.

Also, you cannot just restore the database from a backup as that would wipe out the newer data since the time that last backup was made.

Some auditing options for you would be to use the older event_demon files and archived* files only as needed references when you have to look some past event or run up.
That would have to be done manually via some greps or script you create.

You potentially could restore your last backed up autosys database elsewhere, and then have that data available to you via sql queries or even point a standalone as_server to it so you could run autorep commands against it to pull back historical data.  Your dba might also be able to somehow merge the data from the two databases but we do not have examples of that nor do we encourage or support such activities.
