CA SAM data synchronization fails to import organizational information from Asset Portfolio Management

Issue/Introduction

Description:

When CA SAM processes the XML files generated by APM to import organizational information you may receive the following error.

The following errors occurred:
<protocol_email>: The value specified for field "protocol_email" is invalid () (ASP-I12)

Solution:

In order to solve this problem please navigate to APM GUI > Administration tab > System Configuration > Event Service (*enable 'Show AdvancedOptions')?

Insert a valid email address for 'CA SAM Events Notification Email' and save the configuration.

The new XML files should now be created with correct parameter for 'protocol_email' and should be processed successfully by CA SAM.
