Duplicate models being created in Spectrum via SouthBound Gateway (SBGW)

Issue/Introduction

SouthBound gateway configuration is creating duplicate event models with the same name even though the model already exists under the EventAdmin model.

Environment

Release : 20.2, 21.2

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

• Review your SBGW configuration and ensure Varbind 106 is not being used.
• Using Varbind 106 within SBGW will cause unexpected results such as event model duplication.

Resolution

• A code defect has been identified where using Varbind 106 within SBGW will cause unexpected results such as event model duplication.
• Do not use Varbind 106 within your SBGW Configuration.

Engineering will plan to address this issue in the first half of CY 2023.
