MAXVIO value met by IMS user during day, but was not SUSPENDed

Issue/Introduction

The OPTS setup for ACF2/IMS has:

BMPMSG() BMPUSID(PSBNAME) DFTLID($IMSDFLT) NOFMTPTRAN IDLE(IDLE) ISRTNVAL MAXVIO(10) MODE(ABORT) MSGBASE(800)

MTOUSID() NLIDDFLT PWMAXVIO(3) SUSPEND WTORUSID()   
                                                        

As per this setup, but logon ids are not suspended after more than 10 transaction violations in one IMS in one day.

Resolution

The MAXVIO is for a single session of the user, not for one day or the life of the IMS region.   If the user logs off and then back on, the counter starts all over again from 0.
