This article describes the steps to configure the Identity Manager (IdM) Workpoint Designer to utilize EJB (Enterprise JavaBeans) connections when interfacing with the Virtual Appliance (vApp) environment.
Identity Manager 14.5
1. Configure the Local Environment
init.bat file in the Workpoint Designer \bin folder (e.g., C:\Program Files\Virtual Appliance Tools\CA-IM_WorkpointDesigner\bin)._SET EJB_CLASSPATH and SET JAVADPARMS._.2. Copy Required Library Files Copy the following JAR files from the vApp (/opt/CA/wildfly-idm/) to the local Workpoint Designer \lib folder:
bin/client/jboss-client.jarmodules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/as/naming/main/jboss-as-naming-*.jar (or wildfly-naming-*.jar)modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/msc/main/jboss-msc-*.jarjboss-modules.jar3. Create the Application User
config user.sudo /opt/CA/wildfly-idm/bin/add-user.sh.imuser) and Password.4. Update Client Properties Edit workpoint-client.properties in the \conf folder and set the following:
client.connect = EJBjava.naming.provider.url = http://:8080remote.connection.default.username = remote.connection.default.password = Note: After saving changes, you must execute the Restart_IM command on the vApp to apply the new connection settings before launching the Designer.
An alternative (easier) approach can be used to connect CA-IM_Workpoint Designer via XML and this documented in Identity Manager Workpoint Designer Connection Error EJBCLIENT000025 to Virtual Appliance
