CA Application Delivery Analysis MTP (NetQoS / ADA)

Issue/Introduction

Description:

The management console creates system-defined applications, based on the list of client networks and server subnets you specify. This article describes the procedure to stop discovering system application in ADA.

Solution:

  1. Look for the file below in the ADA Master Console:

    saConfigInterfaceRuntimeOptions.ini in drv:\Netqos\bin directory.

  2. Add the line below inside the saConfigInterfaceRuntimeOptions.ini file:

    /force positive config

  3. Restart the CA ADA Monitor service

By disabling automated application configuration, this will force CA ADA to only collect for applications that have been configured by users. This means that administrators must assign servers or server subnets to each application they want to monitor.
