Generate Report button is grayed out for non admin users in Report Templates

Issue/Introduction

In Workstation, under SuperDomain : Management Modules : <module name> : Report Templates, the users have the option to create and run reports. For admin users the buttons "Open Template Editor" and "Generate Report" are available.

However, for non-admin users, those buttons are grayed out so it may not be clear how a report can be generated from those templates.

Cause

Report templates can only be created by admins, i.e. users for whom admin access have been granted in domains.xml.

Resolution

In order to Edit or Create a report template admin privileges are required. That is the reason why the Open Template Editor and Generate Report buttons are disabled for the non-admin users.

In order to run a report with a user with only read access these options can be used:

1- Right click on the report template name in the tree SuperDomain : Management Modules : <module name> : Report Templates and select "Generate Report".

2- Select the option "Generate Report" directly from the Workstation menu (Alt+W). I
 In this case the report template to be used must be selected from a list.
