Issue/Introduction

Spectrum Report Manager (SRM) reports from Jasper are not being sent via e-mail as expected.

Environment

Release : 10.2.3 and above integrated with Jasper 6.x

Component : Spectrum Report Manager

Cause

Check the <CABI INSTALL DIRECTORY>/apache-tomcat/webapps/jasperserver-pro/WEB-INF/logs/jasperserver.log file for an error similar to the following:

2017-03-29 13:06:51,419 ERROR ReportExecutionJob,quartzScheduler_Worker-1:354 - The job error notification was not completed. An error occurred while sending it.
org.springframework.mail.MailSendException: Failed messages: javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses;
  nested exception is:
 com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPAddressFailedException: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay
; message exception details (1) are:
Failed message 1:
javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses;
  nested exception is:
 com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPAddressFailedException: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay

The above highlighted error is an error reply from the SMTP mail server. It indicates the mail server is not configured to allow you to send mail through it.
