Issue/Introduction

Description:

There are scenarios where we have the SSA binaries installed and configured but the service is not registered or goes missing due to some maintenance activity on Operating system.

Solution:

Environment:

Windows 2008 WCC 11.3.5 EEM r12

Problem:

The WCC server connection failed. It was observed that the CA connection broker service was missing in windows services.

The service name of the CA connection broker service is CA-SAM-Pmux

Go to windows command prompt and type the following

sc query CA-SAM-Pmux
[SC] EnumQueryServicesStatus:OpenService FAILED 1060:

The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

This shows that the service does not exist

To register the service again do the following

cd %CSAM_SOCKADAPTER%

cd bin

csampmux install

Once it is installed you should see the following for service query

sc query CA-SAM-Pmux
