Issue/Introduction

If the Prompt set is set to Date to a custom value in Datatype (e.g &$PHYS_DATE_YYYY_MM_DD_d#) it may happen that it will be changed as YYMMDD after saving the object.

Hence, the displayed Date will not be the expected one (for example 200506 instead of 2020_06_05).

It may also be that after upgrading to 12.3.4, an unseen change to the "Output Format" under "Advanced settings" causes the default format for date values to change to YYMMDD (this can be verified by looking for <entry name="doutputformat"> in an xml export of the object).

Environment

Release : 12.2 and 12.3

Component: AUTOMATION ENGINE

Subcomponent: Automic Web Interface

Cause

A bug was present in the datetime prompt-editor where date-format was set to an illegal value

Resolution

Workaround on affected prompt objects :

  • Open the Promptset
  • Select the Date object;
  • Choose one calendar under Advanced Settings (do not save);
  • revert the changes - select blank.
  • Save the Promptset -> This should clear out the "Output Format".

Solution:

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
