We have deployed the vmware probe to monitor VMWare hosts. All of our guest VM's have robots installed locally. We are finding repeated scenarios where duplicate objects are being created causing a number of issues. Is there any way to disable the vmware probe from propagating connected VM's as discrete objects to Spectrum as part of the UIM Gateway function?

UIM Group Name for VMware
You can add required vmware hosts to the UIM folder so you can sync what inventory you want to Spectrum, this will eliminate any duplicate data.
e.g., Please review the sections...
UIM Group Name for Hosts:
Specify the UIM group name in this field for selective inventory synchronization of hosts (of the UIM group specified) from CA UIM to CA Spectrum. This is applicable for Server Management entities only.
UIM Group Name for VMware:
Specify the UIM group name in this field for selective inventory synchronization of VMware entities (of the UIM group specified) from CA UIM to CA Spectrum. To address the challenges in providing filtering of VMware data from UIM to Spectrum, a 'UIM Group Name for VMware' field is introduced from spectrumgtw v.8.67 or higher.
