Issue/Introduction

How to resolve the issue of receiving xml variables in place of titles and not the actual xml values of those titles.

Environment

CA Business Service Insight 8.3.x and 9.x

Resolution

1.  Close out all open browser sessions of BSI

2.  On the BSI Web server, run iisreset command

Often this alone will resolve the [MSG] issue.

3.  If the [MSG] titles still appear you must run the StringsLoader.exe utility on the BSI Web Server

The command for Strings Loader is:

StringsLoader.exe -a C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Oblicore\App_Data\Resources

If run successfully it should look like the screen shot above.

4.  Repeat step #2 and check the GUI and the titles should appear correctly now.
