Issue/Introduction

Message FCO400W issued from FASTCOPY when doing an IEBCOPY causing CC=8. The IEBCOPY job ended in CC=08 from the FASTCOPY.
The IEBCOPY job did the copy, so why did Fastcopy return CC=8?

Environment

Release : 7.7

Component : CA-PDSMAN for OS/390

Resolution

The 'blocks exceed library blksize' may or may not cause a problem when the member is accessed based on the type of library. For example if it's a JCL type library - it could definitely cause I/O errors.
In a load module library it does not normally cause a problem.
For an IMS ACB library if you are not having problems with IMS accessing the ACBs, then you can ignore the situation.

Note: Also you could change the return code that FastCopy gives for this condition to 4 by changing the PDSMAN rules to have VALCHECK=I on the $IEBCOPY statement.
That is the return code IEBCOPY would give for this condition."
