Issue/Introduction

The CA Database Management Solutions for IMS CIMTLOAD load library is created as a PDS at installation time. Is it possible to copy the CA Compress load modules to a load library that is defined as a PDSE?

Resolution

The CA Compress load library must be a PDS. Load failures can be expected if the modules are copied to a PDSE, for example:

DFS0733I IMODULE ERROR 18 LOADING COMPRESSION EXIT MODULE IMSHRINK

If you wish to run CA Compress for IMS as a standalone product and copy the modules to a separate load library, then this must be a PDS, for example the IMS RESLIB. Please refer to the following Knowledge Documents which document this process.
