Output Management Web Viewer

Issue/Introduction

Must confirm that SSL(TLS 1.2)  on our server is providing secure connection?

Open a case with Broadcom to see if we can find out more information.

Server1 shows SSL communication between server app and mainframe whenever a web viewer session is active.

Server2 works, but only shows SSL communication between server app and mainframe when Tomcat services on server is restarted, not during active web viewer sessions. It also seems getting SSL errors before Server2 connects.

Yes, Server2 is working, but I want to make sure connection with web viewer sessions are secured properly through SSL.

Environment

Release : 12.1

Component : CA OUTPUT MANAGEMENT WEB VIEWER FOR ALL PLATFORMS

Resolution

Ultimately, it was determined that insufficient Java Heap Sizing was behind the problem. Increasing the heap size to 1 Gig initial and 8 Gig maximum resolve the inconsistencies.

Additional Information

Different DRAS tasks for 11.5 and 12.1 are needed, especially if the same CCITCP/CCISSL is accessing them both. Also check the CCI System IDs being used. Make sure the TCPIP.SystemID in the CCIClient.properties file is not the same as the System Name in the TCP/IP tab of the 11.5 CAICCI-PC properties dialog. If there are users who have access to both 12.1 and 11.5 releases, and 11.5 Web Viewer is not configured for TLS 1.2, that would explain errors. Regardless of all else, having both releases pointing to the same DRAS can cause S0C4 abends in the DRAS task.
