Issue/Introduction

"mprotect failed" error seen in the SpectroSERVER VNM.OUT file

Sometimes by the following error message is seen and the SpectroSERVER hangs:

"? mts: mts_mmap_block::Vfree_memory failed to unmap addr 0x7f8167aee000 len 540672" messages in VNM.OUT.
 

Environment

Release : 10.3.2 and below

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

Root cause is a threading issue with the SpectroSERVER 

Resolution

This issue is addressed in the 10.03.02.BMP_10.3.202 patch for Spectrum 10.2.3 and in Spectrum 10.4.1.
