Rally: Portfolio Timeline filters don't show custom multi-select fields

Issue/Introduction

On the Portfolio Timeline page, when selecting the Filter icon and then selecting the field dropdown that shows all of the fields that can be filtered on, there are a few custom fields that are visible to the project that are not showing up on the list of fields.   All of the fields not showing up on the list are of the field type multi-select.

Release : SAAS

Component : AGILE CENTRAL

Cause

This is due to the multi-select custom field option being added after the implementation of the javascript framework that supports this page.  Because of this, the framework has no understanding of the multi-select fields and will not show them

Resolution

The workaround for this is to use the new Timeline page.  It allows users to filter by custom fields.
