When trying to access the SEPM from the web console, a smart card authentication prompt appears. It is not configured to use smart cards.

Cause

Resolution

C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\apache\conf\ssl\ssl.conf 
The following line needs to be updated

SSLVerifyClient none

C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\conf\server.xml

Search forclientAuth="want" and change it to clientAuth="false"

Search forSSLVerifyClient="optional" and change it to SSLVerifyClient="none", this is in two places.
