How to delete unwanted entries in the WebUI

Issue/Introduction

MICS Administrators sometimes have the need to remove unwanted entries from the WebUI view.  These could be test charts, jobstreams no longer needed, etc.

Environment

Release : 14.2

Component : CA MICS

Resolution

For example purposes, let's assume the WebUI publishing directory is setup using the following path:

/(your mics hfsroot)/WebUI/

To delete the entire jobstream from the Enhanced Web UI:

1. delete the directory with the name of the jobstream from your web publishing directory in USS. 

ex.

/(your mics hfsroot)/WebUI/JOBSTREAM


2. Edit the 'contents.txt' file in the web publishing directory and delete the row with your jobstream name.

ex.

/(your mics hfsroot)/WebUI/contents.txt

To delete a particular day run from a published jobstream:

1. Go into Jobstream directory in USS

ex.

/(your mics hfsroot)/WebUI/JOBSTREAM

2. Delete the directory with the desired date to delete.
    ex. DAYMONYY_T0845

ex.

/(your mics hfsroot)/WebUI/JOBSTREAM/DAYMONYY_T0845

3. Edit the file 'index-inq-IIIII.txt' and delete the row with the desired date (where IIIII is the jobstream name) 

ex.

/(your mics hfsroot)/WebUI/JOBSTREAM/index-inq-IIII.txt

4. Repeat step 3 in the remaining index files  ex. 'index-xxx-IIIIII.txt'

/(your mics hfsroot)/WebUI/JOBSTREAM/index-xxx-IIIII.txt
