Issue/Introduction

It was noticed that BGP traps coming from Cisco Nexus devices are no longer mapped in Spectrum

Cause

It appears that Cisco updated the Trap OID for these traps.

Resolution

In $SPECROOT/custom/Events edit the AlertMap file.

Add this to the bottom:

# cbgpFsmStateChange                    bgpPeerLastError
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.187.0.1.6.1      0x00210d53 1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.14(1,2)\
                                        # bgpPeerState
                                        1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.2(3,0)\
                                        # cbgpPeerLastErrorTxt
                                        1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.187.1.2.1.1.7(4,0)\
                                        # cbgpPeerPrevState
                                        1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.187.1.2.1.1.8(5,0)

This may have to be repeated if there are other traps they changed.
Review the events for the Trap OIDs to confirm if they are mapped or if they need to be manually mapped.

Update the event configuration or a restart of the SS will read the new mapping.
