Issue/Introduction

Despite the same Easytrieve program, the results of the report outputs were different between the Unix system and Linux system. The sequence of records output to the report was different for the two reports. Why?
It seems that the differences of the results may be due to difference of the SEQUENCE processing between the Easytrieve/Linux and Easytrieve/Unix.

Resolution

In this customer, the alternate collating sequence table (eztpaqtt.def) for the sort process was customized to be in EBCDIC order in the Unix system. So, the alternate collating sequence table (eztpaqtt.def) in the Linux system should be customized with the same customization contents of the eztpaqtt.def in the Unix system.

The same customization contents of the eztpaqtt.def in the Unix system was applied to the eztpaqtt.def in the Linux system, and the incompatible problem was gone.
