Cause

The NAME was misspelled which caused the CAS9125E LMP key error: Key tampering detected.

Resolution

The key must be entered exactly as was provided by Broadcom Licensing.

Example:

SITEID(siteid) SITECODE(sitecode from licensing) NAME(site name)

Prod(xx) Date(expiration date) CPU(*SITE*-/siteid) LMPCODE(lmpcode from licensing)

Spelling matters, in this circumstance, the customer had misspelled a part of the site name .

Also, if adding new keys to your z/VM environment, make sure the LMP KEYS file have the Format = F and Lrecl = 128.
The SITEID record must be the first record in the file, all on one line, followed by the individual product keys themselves.
