Issue/Introduction
The customer received the following in an e-mail concerning discontinued support for Jasper 6.4.3 and support for Jasper 7.1.1:
CA Technologies, a Broadcom Company, is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with the CA Support Policy and Terms available at CA Support, please consider this email your written notification that we are discontinuing technical support for CA Business Intelligence JasperReports Server 6.4.3, packaged with CA Service Management 17.1 & 17.2 products (CA Service Desk Manager 17.1 & 17.2, CA Service Catalog 17.1 & 17.2, CA IT Asset Manager – Asset Portfolio Management 17.1 & 17.2) along with its respective service packs, cumulative patches, and supported languages, effective September 30, 2020. After September 30, 2020, CA Technologies will continue to make self-service support available until the end of your current maintenance term.

Resolution
The e-mail the customer received does not mention Spectrum. This only affects the following products mentioned in the e-mail:
CA Business Intelligence JasperReports Server 6.4.3, packaged with CA Service Management 17.1 & 17.2 products (CA Service Desk Manager 17.1 & 17.2, CA Service Catalog 17.1 & 17.2, CA IT Asset Manager – Asset Portfolio Management 17.1 & 17.2)
This does not affect support for Jasper 6.4.3 in Spectrum 10.4.1.
At the time of the writing of this knowledge article, Spectrum does not support Jasper 7.1.1.
