When I run a SELFTEST in NetMaster, message N5U024E is issued in SYSLOG.
110:23:26.88 STC13819 00000080 BPXM023I (NMNET) N5U024E setgid(1000015550) for AAAAAAAA failed: 139

Release : 12.2
Component : CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP
The message N5U024E is documented in the Online Help.
It is a generic error indicating that a UNIX function failed.
The Log shows:
STC13819 00000080 BPXM023I (NMNET) N5U024E setgid(1000015550) for AAAAAAAA failed: 139 errno2: 0b6d0000
The 139 is a return code documented in OMVS Messages and Codes. 139 is EPERM - Permission denied.
I would say that NM is not authorised as a BPX.DAEMON to create user authorised environments.
When this happens the USS command runs under the NM region userid. Message N2U202 appears in the Activity Log.
To activate user level authorization,
see Define UNIX System Service (USS) Authorization:
