Issue/Introduction

Unable to start the Data Aggregator

Environment

All supported Performance Management releases

Resolution

The Database (Data Repository) may be down, follow the following order of start commands going from least to most invasive:

1. Use adminTools application to start the database normally
2. Force start the database from the CLI:

admintools -t start_db -d <DB name> -F

If this fails and it mentions ASR Required, if there is a valid Last Good Epoch (not 0 or -1) then you will likely need to revert back to it.  Reach out to Broadcom Support if you reach this point for further assistance.
