Replacement for CCS Event Managment for z/OS component of NSM

Issue/Introduction

We are working on OPSMVS V13.5 upgrade and we are running Common services V15. As you know the NSM component is no longer with CCS.

Please provide the sample PROC to setup the NSMEMSTR replacement started task.

From documentation:

The USS Syslogd Server forwards USS Syslog Daemon messages to  OPS/MVS as USS events. 

AOF USS rules can be written to process these messages. 

A sample z/OS PROC and USS environmental variable file can be tailored to your needs.

Resolution

You will need to install the USS syslogd Server.   There is no proc, per se, that replaces your NSMEMSTR proc.   We recommend reviewing the “Install the UNIX System Services” section of the OPS/MVS documentation:
