Issue/Introduction

I am looking for a way to create a CA Datacom DBUTLTY backup file on multiple volumes.

The user needs 275000 tracks but can only get 150000 tracks per volume, so he needs to specify 2 volumes for his backup.

Environment

Component : CA Datacom/AD

Component : CA Datacom/DB

Resolution

Since the backup file is a standard Physical Sequential (PS) file, there are no special requirements, and you would specify the JCL parameters like any other PS file, using SMS parameters or standard JCL parameters like UNIT=(uuuu,2) or VOL=(,,,2).

Additional Information

As always, please contact Broadcom support for CA Datacom if you have further questions.
