Issue/Introduction
Need to run monitors as a specific user in order for the monitors to pass through SSO correctly for whatever application is being monitored.
How can run the monitors as a specific user account?
Can this be achieved using EEM?
Environment
OPMS version 10.3.1.1
Component : CA APP SYNTHETIC MONITOR (WATCHMOUSE)
Cause
Per engineering, setting SSO credentials for all monitors on the OPMS at once, is not possible.
Only per-monitor setting of credentials is supported.
Resolution
1. setting SSO credentials for all monitors on the OPMS is not possible. Only per-monitor setting of credentials is supported.
2. using EEM - CA EEM product supports NTLM authentication. So does ASM, for HTTP(S) and Script monitors. This is a way to get past the SSO authentication.
Enabling NTLM in EEM, and Once it is confirmed that NTLM is enabled on the server side, then should be able to set up the monitors in ASM
