Issue/Introduction
This article provides a strategy for backing up and restoring an ADA Console in the event of any problem occurring with the ADA installation. This process assumes that you restore the ADA installation on the same server.
Environment
Application Delivery Analysis 11.x
Resolution
To backup the ADA Console installation:
1. Stop the ADA and MySql services using the Windows services dialog.
2. Copy the contents of the ADA installation directory (The default is C:\CA) to a backup location
3. Start the ADA and MySql services using the Windows services dialog.
To Restore the ADA installation after a problem has occurred:
1. Stop the ADA and MySql services using the Windows services dialog.
2. Copy the backup of the ADA installation directory taken in step 2 above to the current ADA installation directory (C:\CA).
3. Start the ADA and MySql services using the Windows services dialog.
