Can FIPS be enabled at the OS level on the Gateway OVA and hardware appliances?
ie:

fips=1 into /boot/grub/grub.conf

Resolution
It is not currently possible to change this setting on the Gateway appliances without causing issues.
This has never been formally tested and the appliances lack some of the underlying libraries required to enable this, for example dracut-fips.
