Issue/Introduction
- Spectrum Secure Domain Manager TrapX utility is not translating snmpv3 traps for forwarding as snmpv1 traps
Environment
Release : 10.4.1
Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER
Resolution
- In order for TrapExploder to correctly decrypt and translate V3 traps to V1 traps Secure Domain Manager (SDC) needs to be configured and added to the SS.
- TrapExploder will not be able to do the V3 to V1 translation as a "standalone" configuration.
- Once SDC is added to the SS it will be able to access the SNMPv3 Cache to decrypt the incoming V3 traps.
