Issue/Introduction

Sysplex variables used by SSMGAV2 have changed format in release 13.5.

OPS/MVS 13.5 is inserting the system name into the variable. Example when system name is SYSA:

13.0 : GLVPLXTS.PLEXYYYY.STCTBL.CA7.ACTMODE = ACTIVE

13.5 : GLVPLXTS.PLEXYYYY.SYSA.STCTBL.CA7.ACTMODE = ACTIVE

How to migrate within a 13.0 and 13.5 mixed environment that shares the sysplex variables and need to have a common naming pattern?

Environment

Release : 13.5

Component : OPS/MVS

Resolution

A OPS 13.5 PTF was published to introduce a new parameter to control the the activation of the new SSMGAV2 feature that allowed the usage same named resources in a SSMGAV2 SSMPLEX.
APAR #: SO13070
The SSMGAV2 enhancement introduced with PTF SO08386 had a restriction where
it had to be applied to all copies of OPS/MVS participating in the SSMPLEX.
This PTF adds a new parameter (SSMGAV2PSYS) to control the enablement of
the feature for compatibility with older releases.
