Environment

Cause

The userid of the GSS STC is not authorized to execute SYSVIEW commands.

Resolution

There are a couple of things that must be checked about GSS and SYSVIEW:

  1. Is the SYSVIEW Loadlib added (as a STEPLIB) to the GSS STC?
  2. Ensure that GSS starts after SYSVIEW.
  3. Check the GSS userid:

The MSECU005E error messages tells that the UserId is not authorized to issue the LIBS, PARMLIB, CLIST and LIBVIEW commands.

The solution is to place the GSS userid in the ADMIN security group, or to create a security group specifically for the GSS userid where the required authorization can be set for these commands. The SYSVIEW Security Guide details the setup regarding security groups.
