4 Hour + NFA views in the CAPC Reports are Failing

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to NetOps Portal (CAPM) 3.7.8, you will experience "No Data to Display" error with the Stacked Protocol Trend In/Out and some of the ToS views in the IP Performance Network Flow Analysis tabs. The issue will be present for "Last 4 Hours" views or greater. If you set a custom time-frame, anything greater than a a 2 hour windows may not work.




PCService.log shows the following error:

Cause

We have a bug introduced in CAPM 3.7.8 on the above views.  The code changes were meant to speed up on-demand views from Data Aggregator but seems to have caused the NFA views to stop working when going over 2 hrs (which switches  from 1-minute interval data to 15-minute interval data resolution).

Resolution

We created Defect DE448349. NetOps Engineers will be resolving this defect in the CAPM 3.7.11 Service Pack which will be released at the end of May 2020.
