Issue/Introduction

Is it required to complete the "Post Configuration Tasks" documented for products that are not being declared for use in the Product Intent Module ?

For example:

Issuing DCPROFIL on the CV shows:

                             * Product Intent Status *

CA IDMS Core Products                     CA IDMS Tools Products
---------------------                     ----------------------
CA ADS                             YES    CA ADS Alive                       NO
CA ADS Batch                       NO     CA ADS Trace                       NO

If CA ADS Alive, CA ADS Batch or CA ADS Trace are not being installed, is it okay to skip the Post Configuration Tasks specifically for those products?

Environment

Release: All supported releases.
Component: ADS

Resolution

Yes, it is OK to skip the Post Configuration Tasks for the products that were specified as NO in the IDMS.CAISAG.CONFIG(VARBLIST) member, when CAISAG was run.

CAISAG reads the VARBLIST and generates the configuration jobs for the products that were specified with YES.

So if NO was specified the IDMS.CAISAG.CONFIG(VARBLIST) member for products CA ADS Alive, CA ADS Batch or CA ADS Trace
when CAISAG was run, then YES, it is OK to skip the Post Configuration Tasks for specifically for those products.
