Issue/Introduction

Is it required to complete the "Post Configuration Tasks" documented for products that you do not plan to declare in use in your Product Intent Module ?

For example:

Issuing DCPROFIL on the CV that I am upgrading shows:

                             * Product Intent Status *

CA IDMS Core Products                     CA IDMS Tools Products
---------------------                     ----------------------
CA ADS                             YES    CA ADS Alive                       NO
CA ADS Batch                       NO     CA ADS Trace                       NO

If I am not planning to declare usage for CA ADS Alive, CA ADS Batch or CA ADS Trace.
Is it okay to skip the Post Configuration Tasks specifically for those products?

The Post Configuration Tasks are documented at the link below:

Post-Configuration Tasks

Environment

Release : 19.0

Component : CA ADS

Resolution

Yes you can skip the Post Configuration Tasks for the products that you specified NO for in the IDMS.CAISAG.CONFIG(VARBLIST) member, when you ran the CAISAG job.

CAISAG reads the VARBLIST and generates the configuration jobs for the products that you said YES to install.

So if NO was specified the IDMS.CAISAG.CONFIG(VARBLIST) member for products CA ADS Alive, CA ADS Batch or CA ADS Trace
when you ran CAISAG, then YES you can absolutely skip the Post Configuration Tasks for specifically for those products.
