Issue/Introduction
After adding an Item to a Roadmap (from a Project or Idea), the "Type" value doesn't populate. What is the expected result?
Resolution
The "Type" field of a Roadmap Item will not populate automatically, but can be manually populated to help classify the "type" of item it is.
By default four values exist, "Project", "Program", "Idea" and "Feature". If you would like to add more values do the following:
1. Log into Clarity PPM Classic, and go to the "Adminstration" section.
2. Under "Data Administration" go to "Lookups"
3. Search for "Roadmap Item Type", and go to the "Values" tab. More Types can be added or existing Types can be disabled
There is a different field on the Roadmap Task Item that DOES automatically populate the source type, this field is "Linked To Type".
If you would like to see the sources type (Project or Idea) automatically displayed, you can display this attribute instead.
If you would like the ability to personalize the type of item, then use the existing "Type" field and manually select the values.
