Unable to discover SNMP device in Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

An device fails to be discovered with SNMP in Spectrum.
The device, however, can be successfully contacted via MIB Tools utility, using the same parameters as the manual discovery (e.g community string, SNMP version etc).

Environment

Release : 10.3

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

Non SNMP compliant device

Resolution

A sniffer trace shows Spectrum requesting the vendor oid and the device returns "noSuchObject".
This is the most basic requirement for an SNMP compliant device, so it will not be possible for SNMP interfaces to communicate properly with this device.
