Issue/Introduction

Trying to monitor an application which is an EBCDIC to ASCII file converter. This application is invoked with one perl script where the jvm arguments has been provided.

When this is invoked with the developer's id,  autoprobe logs generated but not IntroscopeAgent.log

When this is invoked with the application id, there are errors in the application logs.

Environment

Release : 10.7

Component : APM Agents

Cause

Permission on the wily Agent folder.

Resolution

The application server process must have full read/write/execute permissions on the
<Agent_Home>
directory.

To provide this, install the Java agent on the same operating system as the user running the application server process.

Or, install the Java agent as a different user. Then use the chmod command to grant the necessary permissions.
