Dashboards not showing data for some widgets

Issue/Introduction

After the upgrade to UIM 9.02 some dashboards showed no data and some widgets even showed error (see attached screenshots)

Environment

Release : 9.0.2

Component : UIM - UMP_SLM

Cause

The widgets no showing data were those using datasources of type 'Metrics'. All other datasources type, for example QoS, Probe or SQL were properly working.

This issue is not specifically related to the upgrade as it was replicated in a fresh install of UIM 9.02

Resolution

A new hotfix was provided (nisapi_wasp_903_hf2.zip and nisapi-models-9.0.3-HF2.jar)

These are the steps to correct the issue:

1- Download these files from the CA Unified Infrastructure Management Hotfix Index page

    nisapi_wasp_903_hf2.zip

    nisapi-models-9.0.3-HF2.jar

2- Deactivate wasp probe in UMP Robot.

3- In UMP Robot, move <UIM>/probes/service/wasp/work/* to other folders for backup.

4-. In UMP Robot, move <UIM>/probes/service/wasp/webapps/nisapi folder to any other folder for backup.

5- Add the provided fix (nisapi_wasp_903_hf2.zip) to Archive using IM/Adminconsole

6- Deploy the package (nisapi_wasp) to UMP Robot

    (*) Verify the below files in UMP Robot has been updated.

    <UIM>/probes/service/wasp/webapps/nisapi.war

7- Copy the file nisapi-models-9.0.3-HF2.jar to Nimsoft\probes\service\wasp\webapps\dashboard\WEB-INF\lib

8. Activate wasp probe in UMP Robot.

9. Clear out your browser cache and load the dashboard.
