AX22MKD and AX23CSIU needed for Datacom/AD?

Issue/Introduction

Are the optional CA Datacom/AD SMP/e SAMPJCL jobs AX22MKD and AX23CSIU needed?

Cause

Preparing for installation and upgrade of CA Datacom/AD 15.1.

Resolution

Only CA Datacom/AD using products that use the optional CA Datacom Server USS component require the SMP/e CA Datacom/AD SAMPJCL jobs AX22MKD and AX23CSIU to be run.

If not sure if the optional CA Datacom Server USS component is needed, check with your CA product that uses CA Datacom/AD.

Additional Information

The CA Datacom/AD 15.1 documentation section "Prepare the SMP/E Environment for Pax Installation" says:
"...
8. If your product requires HFS or if you want to install a feature of the product that requires HFS, complete the following substeps: The person who installs the USS component must have SUPERUSER authority for the HFS environment.
  a. Open the SAMPJCL member AX22MKD in an edit session, and execute the AAXSEDIT macro from the command line.
  b. Submit AX22MKD. This job allocates your HFS data sets, creates all directories, and mounts the file system.
  c. Open the SAMPJCL member AX23CSIU in an edit session, and execute the AAXSEDIT macro from the command line. This customizes AX23CSIU.
  d. Submit AX23CSIU. This job customizes the CSI by adding the DDDEFs associated with the directory.

For CA Datacom/AD product installations via CA CSM, the CA Datacom Server USS Component is optional.
