Issue/Introduction

The following message occurs during CICS shutdown:
+DFHFC0973 CICSREG1 579
DYNAMIC DEALLOCATION OF NON-RLS FILE PROTDMP FAILED. RETURN CODE -
X'0004',X'0420' IN MODULE DFHFCFS.

Resolution

The +DFHFC0973 error may occur due to a security violation.
For example, when using ACF2 - start an ACF2 trace and check the trace for an ACFAE913 ACF2 security violation message.
Then add the CICS resource, shown in the ACFAE913 message, to the ACF2 SAFELIST.
