Issue/Introduction

How can we add a new network interface on an existing VM PAM?

There can be instances where more network cards are required after the initial deployment of CA PAM.

Environment

Release : 3.3.x, 3.4.x and 4.0.x

Component : PRIVILEGED ACCESS MANAGEMENT

Resolution

Do follow the steps below to add new network card. This procedure might require a downtime as this includes to shutdown the CA PAM VM instance.

- Power off the VM Instance
- Follow the steps as indicated in the URL
https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/com.vmware.vsphere.html.hostclient.doc/GUID-BE6102AD-657D-4AC3-849E-F95D40167F5B.html
- Power ON the VM instance
- Once the VM is powered on, go to the CA PAM Utility Console (CA PAM VM Console the blue screen)
- In here, select the 'Interface Network Settings' and enable the newly added Network interface and provide the IP and netmask details as well.

After you login to CA PAM, you will be able to view the new network card.
