Issue/Introduction

Secondary console is not communicating with the mainframe.

Not all messages are appearing on an z/OS console session. Commands can be issued but not all responses received.

 

 

Environment

Release : 11.5 and 11.6

Component : CA Automation Point

Cause

The master console of this LPAR was full. A display of the consoles showed a very high NBUF value:

Resolution

After a command was issued to make the master console roll the messages, the buffer was relieved and the AP console started to receive messages again.
