segrace problem -You are not allowed to perform this operation - AIX

Issue/Introduction

The server always reads /etc/profile at login.

Segrace is called in the /etc/profile file to prompt the user X number of days before the password expiry

/sw/seos/bin/segrace -p -d 7

But, when a non-root user logs into the AIX 7.x release they get an error message immediately after login.

Operating System : AIX 7.x release

Cause

The user getting an message which is wrong, and this is a know issue.

Resolution

We have a hot fix for this segrace problem - T52V245
