Issue/Introduction

We are unable to modify a users endpoint account.

In IDM the following error is received:  Failed to fetch the account

From Provisioning Server the following error is received:  Read failed: failed to find a connector server to handle request for DN

Environment

Release : 14.X

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)

Cause

Provisioning Server is unable to communicate with the connector server(s)

Resolution

From Connector Xpress connect to a provisioning server (In a clustered environment, adjusting settings for one environment works for all of them).

Navigate to CS Confings, open each configuration, and confirm that you do not have any value stored for the Provisioning Server (optional). If you do then remove it from your CS Config and retry.

If you have multiple connector servers, also make sure to uncheck "Make this the default CS".

Next, ensure that you have the correct connector servers selected for specific endpoints.

Endpoint Types > The Endpoint Type you are using > Right click > Set Managing CS > Select the appropriate connector servers

Additional Information

This issue can also be caused by corrupted JCS cache.

Confirm you have a backup of any custom bundles/connectors you have imported.

Stop the JCS rename

..\Connector Server\Data to ..\Connector Server\Data_old
..\Connector Server\jcs\data to ..\Connector Server\jcs\data_old

Start the JCS

Connect to http:hostname:20080\main to confirm a successful connection.

Import any custom bundles/connectors you have built.

Confirm you can successfully connect to your endpoint.
