We continue to see Error messages in the Windows System Log that the Report/Analyzer Watchdog Service stops unexpectedly every night at Midnight (or a few minutes past). Are there any reasons why this service would stop every night at midnight?
Windows Event LOG:
The NetQoS Reporter/Analyzer Watchdog service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.
This is working as designed. The Watchdog service automatically restarts around midnight each night to release any resources in use.
If you take a look in the Watchdog log you will see this entry around midnight:
MainWatchdogThread: Restart WatchdogService.exe to release all resources
Unless there is a problem, like the service not restarting successfully,the message in the Windows event log is not a concern.
