Manage Orphan Accounts task is slow to return results
Resolution
IM will send a search request to the Provisioning Server to get the list of accounts associated with the provisoning user configured for the Manage Orphan Accounts task (i.e. [default user]) and will have to process that list. By default IM will need to search additional searches for each returned account in order to get additional information to display on the screen.
While we cannot improve the time needed by IM to process the initial list of returned accounts we can remove some of the fields being searched/returned for that task/screen so as to cut down the number of searches needed to be performed.
In the IM User Console do a Modify Admin Task and search and select the "Manage Orphan Accounts" task. On the Tabs tab of that task edit the "Orphan Accounts Tab".
Now click Browse for the Account List Screen and make a copy of the "Default Account List" screen and in the copy remove the "Endpoint Name" from the list of what fields appear in the search results. Select to use this copied screen.
Now click Browse for the Account Search Screen and make a copy of the "Endpoint Account Search" and in the copy remove the "Endpoint Name" and "Endpoint Type" and "Description" from the list of what fields that a user can search on and what fields that appear in the search results. Select to use this copied screen.
