IDMS Server and Visual DBA have been installed on Windows 10 Enterprise, 64-bit. IDMS Server is working, (the IDMS ODBC driver is installed and tested successfully).
After launching Visual DBA, the Nodes window displays < No Nodes>. When attempting to 'add node' and select system (yes) or user (no) DSN, the ODBC administrator should launch, but nothing happens.
So, Visual DBA will not 'find' the system DSN that was manually created using the 64-bit ODBC administrator, nor will it allow a new node to be added.
The 64-bit ODBC admin shows the IDMS driver, version 17.00.36.00, file CAIIOD35.DLL dated 9/22/2011.
The 32-bit ODBC admin does NOT show the IDMS driver. Is there a 32-bit IDMS ODBC driver that must be installed?
Environment
Release: All supported releases. Component: Visual DBA.
Resolution
Visual DBA does not support 64 bit, only 32 bit. Originally only the 64 bit ODBC driver had been installed. Once the 32 bit version of IDMS Server was installed and a 32-bit system DSN created, Visual DBA now shows the 32 bit node.
