IP - Failed to execute prepared statement

Issue/Introduction

When creating a user via the CA Identity Portal (IP) the following error is returned.

ERROR MESSAGE: Failed running query ; Failed to execute prepared statement: SELECT dbo.InitCap('User'); on data source: java:/iam/im/jdbc/jdbc/objectstore. Exception: Cannot find either column "dbo" or the user-defined function or aggregate "dbo.InitCap", or the name is ambiguous.; Cannot find either column "dbo" or the user-defined function or aggregate "dbo.InitCap", or the name is ambiguous.

 

Environment

Release : 14.x

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Cause

This is the expected response to a SQL Data Elements problem.

Resolution

A SQL Data Element is missing or incorrectly configured in the CA Identity manager (IM) task associated with user creation.

After correcting the erroneous task the problem was resolved.
